Cycling around the Alpencamping

Cycling & e-biking in Nenzing and the surrounding area

The versatile cycling network offers connections to the Rhine Valley, Bregenz, Liechtenstein and Switzerland cycle path networks as well as the surrounding valleys.

Numerous bike routes arouse the ambition of real bikers and also attract leisurely e-bikers to the beautiful heights.

Round trip Unterer Walgau

Starting point is Nenzing. On the cycle path, this time turn right along the Alpenbad in the direction of Feldkirch.
A wonderful cycle path leads past the two fish lakes to Frastanz. The very good signposting points the way to Feldkirch, whereby you have to cross the main road once. Soon you arrive in the Montfort town of Feldkirch. The splendid market square invites you for refreshments. On the return trip, you have the option of changing the side of the valley and ride along the left side of the Ill River towards Nenzing. This easy family tour is 25km long.

Oberer Walgau - Bludenz

The round trip through the upper Walgau is part of the Walgau cycle path.
The Walgau - Bludenz cycle path runs on continuously signposted, largely traffic-free and asphalted forest and meadow paths or little-travelled farm tracks. The route begins in Nenzing. From there, the trail leads along the Ill River and the Walgau quarry lakes through the so-called Tschalenga Au to Bludenz. You cycle along the Upper or Lower Illrain. Here you have the opportunity to visit the old town of Bludenz. Via Nüziders you cycle through the Ludescher Unterfeld to Ludesch. Continue along the Lutz on the Thuringian side past the municipality of Bludesch to Gais. Cross the old Ill bridge to return to Nenzing.
The round trip "Oberer Walgau" is approx. 30 km long and is ideally suited for families.

Hochmontafoner cycling route

In 2000, a cycle path was completed that crosses the entire valley. This cycle path connects to the Vorarlberg cycle path network. This means cycling from Piz Buin in the Silvretta to Lake Constance. By transporting bicycles by train, it is possible to take the train-bus connection to the rear of the Montafon (Gaschurn) and return to Nenzing by bike or e-bike.
